Contact Lenses
There are many new options available to patients who would like to wear contact
lenses. At the time of your eye examination we will evaluate your eyes and determine
which type of contact lens will best suit your individual needs. We prescribe all
major brands of soft and rigid contact lenses. In addition, we prescribe custom
designed contact lenses for special needs.
Instruction on insertion, removal, care and cleaning of contact lenses will be provided.
Temporary trial contact lenses will be dispensed and follow-up visits will be made
as necessary to provide for optimum comfort and vision. Follow up care is important
to contact lens success.
Our technicians are able to answer many of your questions and are available for
ongoing contact lens instruction and training. We have vast experience with cosmetic
considerations such as colored contacts that change eye color completely or slightly
enhance eye color.
Eyeglass Lenses
Our office offers an array of eyeglass lenses to meet individual vision requirements.
Some of the available lenses are:
|
- High Index Lenses that are thinner and lighter than ordinary lenses
- Multifocal Lenses correct for near and distance vision (bifocal) or near, middle
and distance vision (trifocal).
- Progressive Addition Lenses that correct for near, middle and distance vision without
the lines of bifocal or trifocal lenses
- Transitions ® Lenses that are clear indoors, but darken automatically when you go
outdoors
- Polycarbonate Lenses are our first choice for children because of their impact resistance
and lightweight.
- Polarized Lenses that reduce glare and provide protection from harmful UV rays.
